City Wide Participates in Kansas Speedway Event, Bikers for Babies
November 10, 2011City Wide of Kansas City participated in the 10th annual March of Dimes: Bikers for Babies event this year at the Kansas Speedway. In the 10 years the event has been held at the Kansas Speedway the number of participants has grown from a mere 1,000 riders to more than 6,000, making it the largest motor cycle ride in the country. This year the event, which took place on September 19, 2010, raised more than $700,000 for the March of Dimes.

City Wide celebration leads to meals for family of four
January 06, 2011This fall, City Wide celebrated the giving season by holding an internal chili cook-off. The price of entry – one non-perishable food item. City Wide was able to collect $114 in addition to 126 pounds of food to donate to families in need.
The spoils of the cook-off were able to feed a family of four this holiday season. City Wide lends a hand to employees in need this holiday
December 23, 2010Every year City Wide raises money to adopt families of their employees to help take some of the burden away from the Christmas season. The monetary donations were made by City Wide employees and were matched by the owners, the Oddo family.
This year, City Wide adopted 14 families and was able to provide a $200 gift card to each for Christmas presents, groceries and other necessities. One family in particular has faced a year of financial hardships because of health reasons and hospital bills have taken the place of Christmas presents for the children. Kansas City Lends a hand to create Santa's Workshop
November 09, 2010City Wide of Kansas City will be donating their time and resources to help The Legends at Village West. Six City Wide employees with take part in building the backdrop to The Legends’ Santa Workshop that will be open beginning in the middle of November. The workshop will include a Christmas list writing room, milk and cookies with Mrs. Claus and of course, a visit with Santa himself.

City Wide Maintenance Recognized by Black & Veatch for Contribution
June 09, 2010City Wide was recently recognized for its continued support for Black & Veatch and the community at Black & Veatch’s annual golf charity to help raise funds for the Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. The golf tournament, which was held on May 24th, was the 14th consecutive year of the charity and the event raised $275,000 in financial support.
